Dial ‘Z’ for Zwickel is a rare new creation from the Beau’s brew team, a hazy copper-coloured lager called a zwickelbier – a beer so über-fresh, it tastes like you walked right up to our tanks and poured it yourself. The flavour and aroma are ripe with bready, yeasty goodness and fresh grassy notes, and a finely balanced hop presence. Zwickelbiers are seriously not meant for aging, and best served… right now! History & Style Closely related to kellerbier, zwickelbier literally means beer sampled directly from the maturation vessel in the beer cellar. This German-origin beer takes on the character of the base style: in the case of Dial ‘Z’, an amber lager. Tasting Notes This beer exhibits fresh bready/yeasty notes that mingle with the dark lager malt backbone and the significant herbal/grassy hop aroma. Balanced and clean with noticeable hop presence, you’ll be hitting “redial” on Dial ‘Z’! Food Pairings Lamb shank, Cantonese mushroom dishes, beef stroganoff

Part of their Oktoberfest 2014 mixed pack. Pours a clean amber colour with a big creamy warm cap, great retention and foamy lacing. Smells like an amber ale, but with spices and some sweetness. The cereal grain do come out. Thankfully not sweet tasting but hints of maple syrup are present, with the bread grains and nicely balanced hops. Becomes hazy after a few pours. Well-brewed overall and a nice twist on the amber lager.

Pours a very large frothy off-white head and has a dark golden amber appearance. Thick lacing all around. Aromas of wheats, grains and toasty malts. Flavoura are mainly bready malts, yeasty notes. Also some notes of earthy hops. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Medium retention. Goes down very well.

The beer pours a translucent copper colour with a bubbly light tan head. The aroma is grains, yeast, and cereal. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. The flavour is cereal, yeast, grains, and a light fruitiness.
