Wag the Wolf is a weissbier (wheat beer) that has been generously “late-addition” hopped with organic New Zealand varieties to provide abundant aromas of citrus and tropical fruit. Made with 65% wheat, and fermented with a traditional German weissbier yeast, expect pleasant fruit and spice flavours with a restrained bitterness on the finish. History & Style Our hopfenweisse, is a hop-forward and North American twist on the Bavarian weissbier. The traditionally fruity, spicy and refreshing weissbier is matched with big hop aromas of citrus and tropical fruit. Tasting Notes Hazy and pale gold in colour. Notes of banana, clove, papaya, mango and citurs on the nose. Lively carbonation with pleasant maltiness. Spicy and fruity, with a slightly dry finish. Food Pairings Sausage, Duck & Game Fowl, Goat Cheese, Summer Salads. Plays nicely with spicy food. Very cloudy yellow pour with a dense white head. Splendid lacing. Grassy and yeast aroma. Flavour is grass, spice, banana, lemon and some bubblegum. Body is medium an well carbonated. A bit more hop flavour than normal for the style but I like that.

The beer pours a hazed golden colour with a sticky foaming white head. Aroma is wheat, grass, spicy hops, and yeast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is spices, weak wheat, yeast, light citrus, and musty notes. -

Pours a huge frothy off-white head, leaves behind some thick patchy lacing. Has a hazy golden/orangey appearance. Nice Belgian yeast and citrus hop aromas. Flavours oranges, citrus and light floral hops. Some hints of grapefruit and yeast in the finish. Fizzy and tingly mouthfeel. Full bodied. Pretty good!

Thanks to PaleAleRider for picking this one at the brewery for me. Pours a hazy light-golden colour with a big frothy white head, great retention and lots of foamy lace. Beautiful aromas of minty-grassy hops and Belgian Ale yeast, after the banana notes from the wheat fade out. Nice dry mouthfeel from the hop, but still refreshing. Citrus fruits taste, but not on the crazy bitter-side. More like grassy, again minty, and not much of the wheat here. Again, quite refreshing though.
