History & Style A session I.P.A. is a lower-alcohol expression of an India Pale Ale that highlights approachable hop aroma and flavour, without intense bitterness. The hop-derived citrus and tropical fruit notes lead into a fuller mouthfeel than might otherwise be expected from a light ale. Tasting Notes Good Time Session IPA pours gold with white foam. The aroma offers a combination of citrus, gooseberry, pineapple flavours and aromas. The flavour is juicy with subtle hop bitterness. The body is light and refreshing. The finish is clean and lingeringly hoppy. INGREDIENTS Local spring water, organic barley and wheat malts, organic oats, organic hops, brewer's yeast. MALTS Pale ale, vienna, wheat, acidulated (all organic) HOPS Organic nelson sauvin, organic centennial YEAST Foggy London Ale yeast

The beer pours a highly carbonated straw yellow colour, slightly cloudy, with a huge white head that quickly recedes to a bubbly film on top. At the end of the pour, it was like a yeast cake entered the glass. Aromas of grass, tropical fruit, and herbal hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. Clearly the effervescence in the pour is just for show. The flavour is pine and citrus, leading to a very bitter hoppy finish.

Can from LCBO. Pours a huge foamy white head, slightly hazy golden orangey appearance. Thick bubbly lacing. Somewhat excessive carbonation. Aromas of floral, grassy and herbal hops. Flavours are light citrus, grassy and piney, a little of bitterness on the palate. Nice variation on their Full Time IPA. Not too bad.

Can that pours a slight unfiltered light-golden colour with a frothy white head, decent stay and some soapy lacing. Fresh herbal hop aromas of grass and leaves, with some cilantro hints. The taste shows some nice bite with the grassy hops, but also some nice cereal notes in the background. The hops really linger a long time with bitterness. Like biting in the peel of citrus fruits. Well, Beau's probably wanted to create a 4% ABV. beer that felt like a 6% regular IPA and has succeeded.
