Roggenbier is German for "Rye Beer". Very similar to a Hefeweizen, but brewed with rye instead of wheat. This unfiltered ale melds the earthy rye character with subtle banana and clove notes from the Bavarian ale yeast.

nice surprise here! this is what you get when you replace much of the wheat in a hefe with rye. awesome spicy complexity added to a good hefe. great stuff!
