Pours a clear copper with a whispy white head. Surprisingly little lacing. Aroma is slightly biscuity sweet with a great helping of pine, grapefruit, and lemon. Aroma is very pleasant. Flavor starts with pine and sweet biscuit/honey, moves to pine bitterness that is mild and pleasant. This finishes slightly sweet with a medium mouthfeel. Overall well balanced, not as aggressive as i suspected before trying it.

Had this beast once before, but it even stands out amongst other great beers. Ample malt and a good dose of sticky sweetness, but far from what is call balanced. This hop monster showcases citrus hops, plain and simple. Lemon, orange and grapefruit peel. A touch of evergreen. Agressive and delicious!

Tasted on tap at the 11th Bistro Double IPA Festival on 2/12/2011. This Imperial IPA pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, orange, hoppy and sweet. A medium to full bodied Imperial Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are orange, citrusy and grapefruit. Decent carbonation. Very nice balance between the malts and hops, and there are a lot of both of them in this beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
