This Irish Stout pours a beautiful darkrich colour with a thick long lasting head. The aroma is rich and roasty, I found the flavour a little off withan oily feel, however I wouldn't hesitate to drink one again.

A solid stout. A very dark brown beer with a creamy tan head that lasts. Lots or roasted malt, and coffee in the aroma. Great creamy texture to go along with the mild roasted flavours and the bitter finish. A standby for me for many years.

I had this back in March of 2009. It pours out a chocolaty brown with a very fine-bubbled head and lots of fine, descending bubbles like Guinness - clearly the result of nitrogen tapping. An extra half point for that. Smoky, chocolaty aroma has nutty and molasses hints. Flavor is mainly of unsweet chocolate with a molasses undertone and hints of smoke and nuts. Velvety smooth texture has a good tingle to it.

My favourite stout(apart from the discontinued gillespies. Beamish has a lovely creamy taste with a perfect balance. Smells great and goes down really smooth. Superb.

In the "nitro" can - a beautiful pour with a almost black color and that massive "live" head that maintains throughout leaving very nice lacing. Very carbonated. Big toasted malts, slight cocoa and coffee, bit of toffee and hops all in the aromas. Taste is SMOOTH with a creaminess and slight sweetness then a bit of hops. Classic.

although the same traditional style, this one is smoother and has a slightly more pronounced flavor than Guiness, and therefore is a more enjoyable beer.

Among the very best stouts available on the market and simply unbeatable when served fresh from the tap. Perfect with Irish weather and traditional Irish fare. Smooth, flavorful and a beauty to behold in a tulip glass. Nearly perfect in every respect.

I like the color of this beer, the aroma is faint. The taste is good, and i would say this beer is in style guidelines. I have had many stouts and this one is good, definitely not thin and watered down like some . Would recommend. The widget makes a nice creamy beer foam.

mahogany-highlighted deep brown witha dense, foamy brown head and good lacing. Roasted malt aroma with faint fruit. Creamy and medium-bodied. Mild roasted malt flavor, creamy and mellow, smooth nutty finish. MUSIC: To Hell Or Barbados by Damien Dempsey

pours a dark chocolate black with thick creamy head.smell was chocolate with a bit of coffee. flavor was ok with the normal stout flavor, not much of any other flavor i could figure out. just not for me it's too bland.i think the can i got might have been a bit old.
