2020 Description Our award-winning cream ale is a fan favourite. Traditionally brewed in small batches with locally sourced honey to create subtle earthy back notes and aromas. This beer boasts a cream ale flavour while maintaining a modest body with a smooth and silky finish. Our honey cream ale is a year-round hit. Bronze winner in the 2017 Ontario Brewing Awards for Honey Beer. 2017 Description Our newest introduction to the Bayside lineup is our Honey Cream Ale. Using locally sourced honey, we created a beer that is incredibly smooth with a slightly dry finish. With a well rounded flavour, and a fresh hop forward aroma, this beer comes in at 5% ABV. Winning a Bronze medal at the 2014 Ontario Beer Awards, it has easily become one of our most popular beers

Pours a clean amber colour with caramel highlights from the can. Warm, creamy-soapy head, long lasting with waves of foamy lacing. The nose is quite floral with different perfumes. Seems like the hops doing this, with notes of green apples over hints of caramel. Hmmm, the taste seems sour, like almost an infection. A floral infection - like what does this have to do with a cream ale ?? Perfume and sourness ?! Where is the honey sweetness. You are not trying to win me over with your first impression.

The beer pours a honey gold colour with a thin bubbly head which lasts a while. The aroma is honey, light fruits, grains, and herbal hops. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour starts sweet and grainy with notes of honey, and finishes with a mild bitter note. Not my favourite style, but a decent beer.
