Hooghe Bock is a top fermented bock and unique in it's style. Barley and wheat malts are mixed dark crystalmalt to form the basis of this ruby colored bockbeer. Special hop variaties where used to give it it's soft bitter flavor and light sweet finish.

Like all bokbieren bit too sweet for my taste. Very fruity, nice amber color, sticking slightly dark foam. Taste dissapeares rather quick. Drank this in Rotterdam while staying at my daughters place, made it taste better.

first beer my trip to Amsterdam, on draft in the Leidesplein at some crumby fake irish bar, sat outside .. . great teardrop lacing .. malty syrup nose .. . good feel .. silky but very upfront .. . pretty well done from Bavaria .. sorry for my face hitting your fist ..
