500 ml bottle, bought in Riga, as "Bauskas Alus Tumsais Specialais". ABV is 5.5%. Copper coloured beer, large and lasting tan head. Malty sweet aroma, notes of caramel and bakery. The flavour is also malty sweet with notes of caramel, but is not cloying. Moderate hops in the finish. Not bad.

Nice dark brown color. Not much foam and it dissapears fast. In the aroma there's dominating the roasted grain and caramel. Taste is slightly sweetish and also much caramel. Aftertaste is a bit watery.

Nicely rich reddish color, white average and steady foam. Malty rich aroma with waving caramel hints, though also goes with unpleasant alhocolic and acidic hints. Light bodied, watery and very thin; smooth and easy flowing. Rich in flavor, strongly fruity and spicy with malty background, caramel and honey pie traces, more or less balanced sweetness. Leaves smooth slightly sweetish and spicy aftertaste. If not that sometimes overlaping spicyness, it would be very pleasant. Anyway, worth to try. Better than average.

ame as with many Latvian beer, it differs from cold to warm, but doesn’t get bad. Once cold alcohol, amlts and fruits maily in aroma. Once it gets warm, aroma is sweet plummy, alcoholic and fruity. Flavour while fridge cold was sweet alcohol, cookies and malts. While getting warmer it’s more plums, raisins and candy. Aftertatse quite sweet, but reminds of several seeds mixed. Palate all the way through is kind of sticky, but not unpleasantly. Beer style hard to tell, quite dunkelish when cold, but onc eit gets warm, you really can’t tell... Not a bad beer at all though. Let it be dunkel until someone wise rates it .)
