Thanks to PaleAleRider for bringing this back from the brewery - for my birthday. 32 oz bottle like in the picture I took. Pours a clean amber colour with caramel highlights. Frothy beige head, good carbonation and light foamy lace. Some of the hops that I am not fond of are present here (leafy, artificial) over the sweet caramel malts and hints of roasted malts. Thin mouthfeel with the hops which are a tad better in the taste and the balance of caramel and burnt malts. Even hints of maple syrup, but all mild, not syrupy. Not my type of brown ale, as the hops are not to my likings, but a decent first from this brewery.

Sample from the brewpub. Pours very little head from a 5oz sample. Has a golden amber appearance. Good retention. Average carbonation. Aromas of light toasty malts, sweet and hints of caramel. Flavours are quite sweet, some very subtle hints of maple make an appearance. Light body. Smooth and oily mouthfeel. Pretty good.
