The brand is successfully exported to almost 40 countries around the world, including Germany, Ireland, France, the USA, and even such exotic countries as Mexico, Mongolia and South Korea. One should also note the social role of the beer at the time. Many strong drink consumers switched to Baltika Nine with the alcohol content below 8%. Purchased at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario Store. Strong golden lagers tend to be dangerously undrinkable and I found this one to be no exception. A golden pour with copper hues and a snow white head. The aroma is grainy malt, and alcohol. The flavour is also grainy malt and alcohol.

Pours a clear golden amber with a typical off-white head. Not impressive, but this is a pale lager. Aroma is crisp and malty, and has a hint of fruit. Flavor is malty, just a touch fruity - not much more. Texture has decent fizz, but body leaves something to be desired. Fair to middlin’, leaning towards fair.

Pours a clear yellow amber with a 2 finger white head that lofts a bit. Nice amount of carbonation. Aroma is fairly malty. Taste is kinda malty and boozy. Chewy. I can see bums on the side of the road drinking this.

Another Baltika from BevMo. Cheap brews...i've had some quality ones. This is kinda good for a lager/strong lager, but ultimately forgetable. Alcohol shows through some very light grassy hops and honey sweetness. Nothing is off, but everything is average or just below.

pours a dark golden with a nice white head and no lace. The aroma is bitter european grains and some dark honey. The taste comes in with a bitter taste of dark honey and grains. The after taste is strong of syrupy honey and has a touch of booze to it, though not too evident. The mouthfeel is low carbonation with a semi-dry finish and medium body.

Golden yellow with quickly deminishing bubbly white foam head. Aroma is malty with alcohol presence, some flowers far far away. Taste is malty, with some bittersweet. Short bittersweet aftertaste, alcohol present. (Velp 201209)

If you are looking for a brew that tastes like cough syrup and kicks like an ICBM in the kiester, then this is your beer, comrade! I thought the USSR imploded? What soviet block brewery is still making this crap? Please stick to vodka. We'll make the beer.

500 ml bottle. Poured in the original Baltika seidel a clear straw to golden yellow colored beer with a two fingers white creamy foamy head that had a very long retention. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is weak malts, a touch of honey. The flavour is a sweety and honey juice and a heavy alcohol presence. The mouthfeel is fizzy and quite watery. This medium bodied beer has a pronounced alcoholic finish. With " only " the alcohol for it, I have trouble to consider this brew as a beer.

Crystal clear, bright yellow colored lager. Big creamy textured white head rises above. And, it has some hang time settling into some film and splotchy clouds of soap atop the body. Light, sweet grains in the nose. Starting to turn me off. It is the one thing I dislike about lagers. But the body is moderate and creamy on the palate. Let this one warm and the sweetness of the malt and the bite of the alcohol, invite you to drink more.

I tasted a hint of champagne in the beer. Smells like generic apple juice and a bit o' corn. Overall this is a beer I could have again, just hope the liquor store will have it again, as this was the last bottle they had.
