Purchased at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario Store. This is a typical Eastern European pale lager, which means not much different than your typical North American pale lager. It pours a clear golden colour with a white head. Both the aroma and the flavour are grainy malt with metallic and acidic off-flavours.

    500ml bottle -

Aroma - pretty skunked, wet carboard...some sweet corn notes come out after the skunk subsides

Appearance - kinda of a dirty dishwater yellow, clear with a 1" foamy head, nothing sustained

Taste - light sweetness, some dirty metal

    Palate - watery, pretty lifeless

Overall - Baltika offers many, many other beers that are light years better. Even fresh, I can’t see this being better than those.

Bottled. Pale yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is malts, very sweet grass and some hops. Flavour is sweet malts, rubber and some earth. Quite grainy aftertaste.
