SO good. Pours a deep pitch black, and as you pour, the aroma of coffee, toffee and chocolate begin to form. On the nose, you get the same thing, but this time it's much more aromatic and begs to be tasted. Once you do get there... it's everything you expected it to be and more. So smooth on the palate and goes down easy. And, might I add: for a 10% ABV this beer is exceptional in taste. If...and IF your nose is good enough to smell any trace of alcohol upon the aroma of the beer, the tongue may fool you into thinking that there is none, while at the same time, this beer packs a punch! Glad I picked this one up. Definite recommend and will re-visit this one again. Cheers!

Pours a deep, warm sable with a nice tan head. Aroma has firm notes of roast malt, coffee, cocoa and wood with a hint of rum. Yo ho ho! Flavor has rich charred wood, coffee, roast malt and rum notes with a hint of cocoa. Texture is smooth, firm, rather fizzy. A true Victory at Brewing!

Took a delicious beer to a whole nother level! I've had a few rum barreled beers that for various reasons didn't work all that well, but this is a big enough, tasty enough beer that the barreling is just an addition...not changing what was already awesome about this brew. if i had a bigger sample, i may have even scored this higher!
