    Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

An interesting beer -- from the weird "Thunderbird-ish" metal twist-off cap, to the reasonably interesting mouthfeel and drinkability. A little boring, but I didn't mind shelling out $2 for this, and I didn't mind drinking it down.

Boring to look at -- kinda light n' muddy in the body, with not a whole lot in the way of head. In fact, when I first popped this open, the bottle spewed a small creeping volcano's worth of foam.

Very basic in the aroma and flavor profile. A bit sturdier than your typical Pale Lager or Helles, but still not as interesting or as big in flavor as, say, a Vienna Lager. But for what it's worth, this was not wretched tasting either.

About the only thing this beer has going for itself is the fact that the mouthfeel has enough life to make this palatable and decently drinkable. This went down well enough, while I was cooking up my dinner for the evening. I could see this perhaps working better when paired with food -- some wursts, with mega-freakin-hot mustard, perhaps?

Despite my Germanic heritage, I have a hard time finding anything from my maternal homehand that has anything that I can relate to. And while I didn't detest this, I still can't get all that emotional about it, either...
