a coffee stout for those that reheheaally like their coffee. i am one of those so i liked the beer, but when grading, i can't neglect to mention that this beer is waaaay out of balance. especially right next to the regular shanghai. aroma and flavor are both 90% coffee with little room for the original brew, which is pretty good, to shine through. bitter finish from the coffee and cocoa, not from hops. smooth as hell, but thin. definitely for coffee lovers only.

On tap. Body is black with a 1" thick light tan, creamy head. Aroma is coffee, very light chocolate...really nice roast notes and the coffee comes thru very strong. Lingering bitterness on the palate from the coffee, choco malts help keep things in check. One of the best coffee stouts I’ve had, probably due to the freshness. Great example of a coffee stout.
