The Vanilla Pale Ale is one of a kind. We took the best part of pale ale and enhanced its flavor with a Madagascar Vanilla Extract. The American PALE Ale leans towards having toast and caramel notes that finish crisp with the use of Hops. Our goal was to entice the nose and extend the flavor of richness. The Vanilla Pale Ale is an appetizer builder. It pairs with all types of foods such as mussels and garlic, a great chowder or bowl of chili and BEER NUTS! Color: Light golden color with a straw head. Aroma: Warm vanilla notes with aromas of caramel. Taste: Medium mouth feel with creamy vanilla and light citrus flavor. Finish: Light and warm.

This beer was a disappointment. I did not taste any vanilla but it was a good thirst quencher with the cheeseboard I ordered. Went down like H2O. I don't think I'd order this beer again but I was curious how it tasted given the name of the beer. It was the beer feature of the day at Cheesetique in Del Ray, VA. A true pale ale but without the vanilla taste I love! http://cheesetique.com/

A really weak beer. Light amber colored. Small fluffy textured white head with no hang time. And no lacing. Light malty-grassy nose. Bolder vanilla, grassy tasting. Light and crisp.

Malty aroma is not strong, has hints of yeast and vanilla. Pours a clear amber with a frothy off-white head that makes itself scarce rather quickly. Malty flavor has an appreciable vanilla undertone, fairly but not overly sweet. Smooth texture has average body, fizz is wanting. Not Ass Kisser's best, but if you like vanilla give it a chance.

Not sure I would have liked this pale ale without the vanilla, so that's part of the problem. A little bit of cardboard and not a lot of citrus or hop presence. The vanilla extract is cool...but not in this beer. A mish mash of conflicting flavors with a tinge of tart to boot.

Awful. If you like the worst vanilla flavored coffee beans you can imagine or vanilla cream carpet freshener this one tastes about the same. Give this one to your... wait no I wouldnt wish this one on anyone.

Bottle from Brackin's Blues Club. Medium straw yellow pour, translucent, with a nice white head, decent lacing. Cream Ale type of aroma, without the corn - lightly malted, hint of advertised vanilla, some earthy hops, sweet and somewhat inviting. Flavor is much like the aroma with a hint of vanilla, lightly hopped, earthy and malted adequately. Forgetful but OK. Great label and name though.
