Jaw-Jacker balances our finest malted barley with a bit-o-wheat and is complimented with a citrus hop kick and just the right amount of cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice for a nice marriage of pumpkin pie and beer.

Bottle from State Line. Pour was orangey colored with some faint brown notes. Head as average, as was the head. These pumpkin beers are harder and harder to distinguish from the aroma, they run together: spices and pumpkin. The flavor in this one hits initially as pumpkin and light cinnamon, but finishes with lemony notes and iced tea in the aftertaste. The mouthfeel was moderate/standard, perhaps slightly less spicey zing in the finish than for many a pumpkin ale.

The final bottle of pumpkin ale brought back from the parents recent US trip. 12 oz brown bottle. Good looking beer, pour amber color with orange highlights, decent sized white head. Good retention and lacing left behind. Great aroma, more what I have been looking for, pumpkin, lots of cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg. The taste has lots of similar flavors, a solid malt beer with lots of spice. Very flavorful, but without being cloying or artificial tasting. Lots of nutmeg and cinnamon, then a bit of clean hop bite at the end. One of the best pumpkin beers I've had. Perfecly spiced and flavored like pumpkin pie. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, which suits the style. This is one beer that I wish I had more of to enjoy as the weather turns, a good fall or even a winter brew.
