Recently ABC's Trail Blaze Brown Ale has become certified by PA Certified Organic and USDA Organic for production in our Harrisburg brewery - for whatever that's worth to you. I can tell you that I typically am not a fan of a brown, but this one was really nice. Nice roasted malt and caramel balanced by a hint of bitterness from the hops. Rich without being too heavy. Very good beer.

A nice brew that I picked up in Baltimore. I thinked I bought more Penn brews here then anything. Clear, bright brown colour with a creamy frothy top. Aroma is very nutty and enticing. Taste is so pleasent, ecspecially since it's not super sweet like some browns can be. Great beer overall.

cheapdark (1776), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA 2.3 Aroma Appearance Flavor Palate Overall 6/10 3/5 4/10 2/5 8/20 Mar 20, 2009 Good smooth ropey beer aroma, attractive and appetizing. Looks somewhat like root beer. No visible carbonation. Head fades to a froth. On the palate there is decent carbonation. Has a bitter hop character that lingers for a while after each slug. Finish is hoppy leather or sumthin. Hangs for a while after the finish.
