With this beer we recommemorate the most famous Czech brewer Andrew Francis Poupe , Františku Ondøeji Poupìmu, who worked in Slaný during 1794 - 1798. For the production of our 12 degree dark lager we use four types of traditional Czech malt. Beer is bottom fermented and its black color and full pleasant taste is due to the roasted malt. Lower sweetness contributes to its excellent drinkability and it is a real jewel among dark beers.

300 ml, on tap at the brewery. Poured a too cold, unfiltered and hazy red-burgundy, close to black, coloured Cerné with a good one finger beige and thin foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is roasted and burnt malts, notes of dried fruits, nuts. The flavour is strong roasted malts, roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate, notes of caramel. The mouthfeel is sparkling, quite thin and amazing smooth. The texture is creamy and watery. This light to medium bodied Dark Lager has a dry roasted malts finish. A very easy drinkable and tasteful Cerné from a small bohemian brewery, 20 miles away from Praha.
