Full of haze and layered with a multitude of hops, this Vermont style Double IPA is subtle on the mouthfeel but overflows with massive aromas of fruit and juice flavours.

The beer pours a hazed orange-gold with a creamy light tan cap which lasts a long while. Lots of lacing. The aroma is grassy malts, light citrus, weak tropical fruit, and yeast. The mouthfeel is full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grains, citrus, light brown sugar, and a definite presence of alcohol. This beer warms the belly, and as I watch a snowstorm outside, I don’t have an issue with that. -

Tall can from LCBO. Pours a massive frothy off-white head with some thick dirty lacing and has a pale golden, lightly hazed appearance. Somewhat excessive carbonation. Aromas of citrus, pine, yeast, some herbal and grassy notes. Flavours are mostly citrus and yeast, some subtle tropical fruit notes, mango and pineapples mainly, maybe a bit of guava. Very mild bitterness. Dangerous for a high abv brew.

Can from this years YYZ Flight 4-pack, pouring a unfiltered golden-orange colour with some light pulp particles. The head is frothy, creamy enough, off-white warm with good retention and thick foamy-creamy lacing. Hoppy aromas of fruitiness with pineapples. The flavours are most bitter, than fruity, with the alcohol mixing well, warming. The mouthfeel is wet until a little dryness comes out in the lingering. A nice warming IIPA.
