i think this is by far the best light beer on the planet.. i have had the other amstel varieties which are hard to find in the u.s in holland.. these holland amstels are world glass.

Clear pale yellow, big white foam head. Barley aroma similar in taste, light indeed. Moderate taste, aftertaste almost non existing. OK beer for airport lounge. (London 201608)

Pours a huge foamy white head and has a clear straw coloured appearance. Thick patchy lacing. Aromas of grains, corn and a bit of skunky hints. Flavours are mainly grainy malts, wheats and again with the corn. Weak hops. Seems like a light version of Heineken, which would make sense. It's got that fairly similar skunkiness to it, but not in the offensive way. Light bodied and faint carbonation. Still not too bad for a macro type light brew.

I liked the deep yellow and the light malt aroma. Besides that the only good thing I can say about this beer is it pours a think white foamy head. After those facts there really isn't anything good about this beer.

A nice beer for a lite. Pleasent hops taste, nice color. It purs with a weak head on my glass. Low carbonation. It has a nice palate for being a light beer. Better by far than most american light beers.

Really not an awful beer for the style. Not worth the premium price compared to most American light lagers though. No skunky aroma makes it better than Heineken Lager at least (granted, that isn't saying much).

I think this is only available in North America because none of my European friends claim to have seen it (although most of my European friends are skeptical of diet beer to begin woth). This is one of the better light beers. Not in the same class as a British bitter, but refreshing all the same. Pale gold colour, grainy malt, floral hops, and a typical lager flavour....but not as watered down as a Bud Light.

I'd like to say it wasn't hateful... but it really is. Based on my observations this weekend, the people who buy/drink/think this is good, quality beer have apparently been raised on Natty Light and the like. Drank from the bottle, so I can't judge the appearance - but I can't leave the dropdown blank, so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt and going with "average". Smells grassy and very carbonated and thin on the pallette. lacks any discernable flavor... or maybe a bit alka-seltzeresque. Now I know why I never bought it.

Pour is a pale yellow, crystal clear with a quickly dissipating 1" white foamy head. Aroma is slighly salty somehow with a light punch of grainy malts. Flavor seems...vacant. Nothing. Zip. Like carbonated water. My mind seems to be filling in the missing parts and I think I tasted some light grain. Watery body. Nothing really, either good or bad. Definitely reduced calories, alcohol, which means reduced flavor too. Not a suprise. -

I give this an above average for a light beer. When I drink a light beer it has to be Amstel. I like the fact that it is a light flavor beer with the taste of a beer. It is unlike most light beer because it seems to retain that pils flavor I have however got a slight slight skunk wiff every now and then.

On this one I got a bright golden colored beer. A medium fuzzy textured white head rises ever so briefly above. There’s no hang time. And, there’s no lacing. There are light grains in the nose and a watered grain in the tasting. It is very light and carbonated. All in all, there’s nothing offensive in this one.
