Tasted at the May Northern California Beer Tasting. This Belgian ale poured a pale gold color from a swing top bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet with a hint of tartness. A medium to light bodied ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal. There is some tartness and maybe a little funk here as well. Interesting beer. A very drinkable beer, light and refreshing. Mouthfeel is full. The finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

Swing-top bottle - One of the regulars at our tastings brought this back with him on a recent trip to Italy. Usually the beers he brings back are pretty average at best, but this was a nice one actually. The beer pours out a dark golden/amber color with a fairly small sized head. Weak caramel, a nice sweet fruit character with a touch of hops, honey and spices. The flavor had a very subtle sourness about it, almost like it wasn't supposed to be there but it worked. Strong malts, toffee, honey with a very fruity finish. Not bad!

Hazy dark golden, small creamy head. Sweet amlty aroma of toffee, rye, oranges and marmelade. Fruity and quite dense flavour of oranges, toffee, cherrie and yeast. Long fruity and spicy aftertaste. A good beer from San Marino? Sure here it is.
