Amarcord an Oscar-Winning Beer .... we chose to call our beer Amarcord, because we brew it in this corner of Romagna and San Marino, between the sea and the hills, a land rich in history and amazing stories. But above all, as a tribute to an illustrious celebrity who was born here, film director Federico Fellini, who conquered cinema-goers the whole world over with this rich and poetic vein of inspiration, winning as many as four Oscars for his films, including of course Amarcord.

Clear pale yellow with small white foam ring. Aroma is bit fruity, malty. Taste is normal pilsener beer, bit sweet. Short aftertaste. (Milano 201212)

It pours a light yellow-golden with traces of sediment in the body. A thin white head and some lacing. A malty and bready aroma with light hops, lemon, and mild spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth, silky, and rich. Flavors of bready malts, hops, lemon/citrus, some grassiness, tart, and a blend of spice. Excellent, almost "ale-like" in characteristics. The price is a bit marked-up though.
