500 ml capped bottle, batch nr 162. Poured an unfiltered opaque and absolutely black coloured Stout with a three fingers tan creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Great lacing. The aroma is soft roasted malts, burnt coffee beans, chocolate, notes of riped fruits, raisins, plums. The flavour is burned coffee beans, ashes, dark fruits, raisins, plums, notes of dried fruits, nuts, even spicy with hints of licorice, at the end of the emerged the aromatic resinous hops. The mouthfeel is a bit oily, quite thick and smooth. This medium to full bodied Stout has a long coffeish and hoppy bitter finish. More than a solid, a superb Stout, soft and tasteful ! I like it.

At Copenhagen Beer Festival. Pitch black colour. Much the same as Hr. Frederiksen, only a little sweeter, less alcoholic and slightly less bitter. Roasty coffee notes dominant in both aroma and flavour, also notes of chocolate and vanilla. Smooth and very enjoyable.

Pours a nice warm opaque sable with a thick, fine-bubbled, light tan head that sticks around for a while. Aroma is strongly of molasses and miso, with hints of chocolate and smoke. Flavor is rather sweet, but not cloying, and has nutty, molasses, smoky, caramel and chocolate components as well as a hint of coffee and a bit of hoppy bitterness. Fairly thick texture is rather smooth and fizzy, leaving behind a nice tingle.

Black with a rich sticky tan coloured foam. Loads of dark chocolate, mild licorice, crisp grassy hops, mild soy and black coffee. Medium to full-bodied with notes of dark chocolate, nut-shells, cracker, bread crusts, roasted malts, ash and mild citrus as it warms up. Long medium-bitter and dryish finish of roasted malts, roasted nuts, crackers, mild licorice and sweet dark chocolate.

Draught@EBF2008 (rating found on back of a receipt). Pretty much black colour with deep beige creamy/foamy head. Aroma is roasted malts, some licorice, mild coffee and chocolate. Also some slight nuttyness. Flavour is roasted malts, some coffee, licorice and mild honeyish and cocoa notes. Another wellbalanced brew from Amager.
