Flemish Red - maybe it sounds more like a high yielding dairy breed than a beer, but there is no milk to be found in the contents of this bottle. Flemish Red is a historic Belgian beer, which we here at Amager Brewery are proud to present in our experimental series of beers. With its clear character after seven months maturing in used French Bordeaux barrels and its pronounced acidity, it is a beer for exquisite and discerning palates. In the glass Dicentra Cucullaria is a beautiful reddish brown with a lively bubbly beige head. The aroma with its refreshing acidity has been clearly influenced by the French red wine barrels. The taste is dominated by dry tart fruit - tart but never sour. In the finish there is a fine blend of acidity combined with the pleasant dryness from the hops. Brewed using: Amarkansk municipal water, German and Viennese crystal malt, East Kent Goldings hops and English yeast cultures. Ingredients: Water, barley malt, hops and yeast/culture

Bottled@CPH BeerFest2010. Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is sour wood, toffee, some mild alcohol and some slight bready notes. Flavour is sour wood, tart fruityness as well as some mild yeasty and spicy notes. Pleasantly balanced.

Pours out in a hazy reddish brown colour with a lasting creamy off-white head. Rich fruity, fresh and quite acidic aroma of wood, black-currant, wild raspberries, lemon-peels and wood. Medium-bodied with strong notes of wood with hints of currant leaves, immature raspberries and mild caramel. Long finish with a low bitterness. Medium acidity from wood and cherry-skins. Fruity long dryish of raspberries, blackberries and currant-leaves.
