En russisk imperial kaffeporter lagret på Colorado-whiskeyfade. Navnet lyder måske lidt russisk, men det er nu det eneste russiske i Colocoff. Til gengæld er denne voldsomme Imperial Porter sammensat af ingredienser fra stort set den ganske verden. Malten er fra Danmark, Tyskland og England, den tilsatte højlandskaffe er fra Kenya, humlen er amerikansk og det samme er det whiskeyfad fra mikrodestilleriet Stranahan i Denver, Colorado, som Colocoff har ligget og hygget sig på i 28 måneder. Til denne overdådige blanding tilsætter vi så livgivende vand og lidt originalt stjernestøv fra vores rustikke lagerrum, et voilà – Colocoff er født!

Bottled@CPH BF 2011. Very deep brown colour, small head. Aroma is fruits, chocolate, coffee, mild ashes as well as some mild toasted notes. Flavour is caramel, toffee, mild raisins, some toasted notes as well as mild wooden notes. Pleasantly balanced, and hides the 12 % ABV very well.

Sample from bottle, Copenhagen Beer Festival. Black colour. Both aroma and flavour have dominant roasty (coffee) and spicy notes, with hints of oak and American whiskey. Pretty good.
