This is a well made saison with an actual hop presence. In cheaper honey beers I notice the smell of wet dogs, that isn't present here, its very clean with hoppy spice. Flavor is classic saison with real honey taste, very well made and easy to drink. Good dry bitter finish. Thanks to slowrunner, looking forward to the other almanacs you sent!

Thanks to slowrunner77 for this. Attractive orange pour with a wispy white head that doesn't stick around long. Belgian funk dominates the nose, typical for the style. Very understated Flavors, dominated by orange peel and white peppercorns. The honey has sweetened this a tad, but it still maintains the horse blanket notes that most saisons tout. It's nice and extremely drinkable, if kinda boring. I'd love to throw these back in the summer. Thanks, Chris.

kinda tame at the start (i admittedly poured too cold, though) but it opens up quite nicely. we tried three of their beers last night and though this was the weakest, they were all solid. Smells floral and fruity, with hints of honey, wheat, and ginger. flavor and feel is light but grainy (in a good way). And for the style, 2.50 is pretty reasonable.

Sampled on 9/8/2012. This saison pours a light orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is fruity and sweet, honey and ginger. A medium bodied saison. The malts are fruity and sweet, with some honey and cereal. The hops are herbal, earthy and spicy. Nice lively carbonation. A very drinkable saison. The ginger adds a some nice additional spiciness to the beer. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
