Pours thick frothy head, albeit fairly short in stature. Light barely pentrates body as its fairly cloudy. Mississippi River mud brown color. Nice hops in the aroma, but nothing that burns the nose like some imperials do. Thick body. Hops are present in the flavor, but really come out in the aftertaste. Alcohol flavor on the back end. I like red ales but feel the market is being overwhelmed with Imperial this or Imperial that brews. I could probably do without this one again. It’s OK, but just not something that’s getting me all hopped up. (pun intended).
