Now, seventeen years after we started, we’re proud to present another great addition in this ongoing series. AleSmith Decadence® 2012 is a big Belgian-style quadruple ale. A variety of Belgian malts impart notes of bread and ripe fruit with subtle hints of cloves and molasses. Its creamy mouthfeel is balanced by a rich, full-bodied finish. This rare offering is meant to be savored and will age nicely.

Beer Five of my Twelve Beers of Christmas. Deep brown pour with a short-lived very tightly bubbled tan head, reduced to a constant tan cap leaving copious amount of beautiful lacing. Dark ripe pitted fruits, moderate Belgian yeasts, salted caramel, earthiness all abound in the nose and palate, a hint of spices, toffee and sorghum molasses in the end, warming and rich. Fantastic beer, shared with good friends.

They nailed the description, and the beer. Decadence has always been just shy of elite, especially being from on of my very favorite brewers, but this latest one is my favorite of the 4 years I've had. Everything you want in a quad. A melange of toffee, molasses, dark and even a little lighter fruit, belgian spice. Covers up 12% pretty dang well. I love this beer and hope I can find it again.
