With nearly one pound of real fruit per gallon, Alaskan Raspberry Wheat has the inviting aroma of fresh-picked raspberries and an enticing red hue. The flavor of the raspberries lends a tartness that balances the full-bodied wheat profile and malt sweetness. Bigger than most traditional fruit beers, Alaskan Raspberry Wheat adds an extra kick to its dry and effervescent finish.

Pours a murky orange/ reddish tinged body, a decect cap that fades quickly, no lace to speak of. Aroma is all sweet raspberries, almost artificial, nice though. nice medium body a fast carbonation sting. Flavor starts with the raspberries, but a decent wheat shows up. Finish is long and dry with a raspberry sourness.

Pours a redish orange, looks like a darker Orange Crush. Nice sized bubbly head that dissapears quickly. Aroma is pleasant with strong hints of cough syrup. Taste is of raspberries and is a little sweet. A tad watered down, enough that you can notice right off the bat. Not much aftertaste. Overall not my cup of tea, but gets points for trying.

22oz bottle -
Hugely satisfying and immensely quaffable due to the generous amount of raspberry flavors found in both the aroma and flavor of the beer. Rarely do I find the raspberry flavors to be natural tasting, and carry some of the tartness found in fresh raspberries. It's found here, along with some tannic seediness. Some light lemony notes can be found on the palate, and I'd be hard pressed to say this is a wheat base beer just because of the amount of jammy raspberries that are presented here. Delicious. -

Sampled on 7/17/2011. This fruit beer pours a murky reddish amber color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized off white foamy head, with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is raspberries, cereal, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied fruit beer. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are floral. A very clean and nice raspberry flavor throughout this beer, it is not overly sweet or artificial. It just taste like raspberries. Lively carbonation. Good summer beer, tastes very nice on a pleasant summer evening. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is raspberry and slightly sweet.
