Ace Perry Cider is a new premium fermented cider produced by The California Cider Company (CCC) in the Heart of Sonoma's Apple Country. It is not only California's first commercially produced and distributed pear cider, but, by all reports, the first made in the USA. The second Ace cider to come out of the specially-designed micro cider mill, in Graton just outside Sebastapol, is an innovative complement to Ace Apple, CCC's flagship brand. Like Ace Apple, Ace Perry is made from a base of 100% pure, local apple juice. Pear juice is added to give the cider its distinctive pear taste; a taste so fresh and natural it is already proving as popular as its more traditional apple counterpart. Ace Cider is gluten free!

Clear, no foam, pear aroma and taste. OK, now I got this style, but it is not appealing. Do not think I will purchase this brand/style again in future. (Houston 201605)

The aroma ia all about pears The appearance of this cider is a clear light yellow with no head. The taste is of artificial pear, kinda reminded me of a candy i used to get when i young. A light body, a thin and slick texture, and average carbonation. Overall not bad, but i wouldnt by a sixer for myself.

The perry cider literally tastes like a watermelon fourloko. Cost 6.99 for a 22oz of this piss colored garbage. Don't buy, get drunker and spend less and get the bevrage which inspired this flavor profile ('fourloko').

It's good for a cider. Might as well turn in your man card when you drink one of these. I have to admit, it tastes good, very similar to a green apple jolly rancher, but I can't see spending the money for another one. It just felt weird drinking a cider, and don't plan on doing it soon.

Today it is ciders. And for the first, A Pear cider. A clear colored brew with a tinge of yellow. The only lacing is light froplets of soapy film on the sides. A sweet pear-apple nose. The body is bubbily, crisp and light-medium. A tartness in the tasting that is to my liking.

This cider was probably my favorite during my cider period. It was different inasmuch as it was a pear cider and it was refreshing. It was effervescent light. I would buy it again if I was looking for a beer that isn't a beer.

ever so slightly better than the dry version, if only because it hsa a bit more flavor and tastes a tiny bit "fresher". otherwise the same. just ok...not really a beer...more for when you don't want a beer. 2012-big time re-rate! had head to head with Spire, with this being a CLEAR winner. lighter in color, the fruit flavors and buttery softness popped in yo mouth. don't know if the recipe changed, but this was damn good.

S9L2F3T8O18: Had this, by surprise, on tap at the Harris Grill East End Pgh. Clear and barely any yellow color, just barely pale yellow like clear clean pee. Perfumy sweet fruit aroma, nice but not offensive. Very cool initial taste, not overly sweet. Can’t taste any alky in this, hides it well. Good creamy tingly carbonation. Very enjoyable. I like this stuff. Friendly and goes down way too easy. Finish? What finish? Crap. its gone! Good stuff, gimmie another! Nifty perry, probably liked this so much because it was the first cider or perry I had on tap!

Cider's really aren't something I consume much of. In fact, if I have 5 a year I'd be suprised. Just not a lot of quality ciders to choose from. This though, is definitely a nice cider. A sweet nose with some pear and apple character coming thru clearly. The cider pours out a deathly pale yellow color, a tinge of green, clear with a scant head. Flavor is sweet apples/pears, a hint of carbonation...reminded me of sucking on a Jolly Rancher apple candy in some ways. Sweet up front and dry on the back end. Nice cider.

"I really dont consider myself a cider kind of guy.........However, this one wasnt that bad...........It makes a good chaser after you try a crappy beer."
