a step backwards from the pear for sure. In a head to head, Ace pear whooped Spire, but the Apples were about even. Light in color and body. As usual, decent apple aroma, but nothing special. I dug the tartness of the flavor, but that's really the only thing that stood out.

Cider number two. Same as the Pear, clear with a yellow tinge. But in this one a thin, soapy ringlet sits impressively atop. The nose is a sweet sugariness. Not getting any apple in the nose. The body is sharp and fuzzy. The taste is a downside, tannic and vinegary.

Ace Apple Cider S8L2F4T9018: 12 oz brown bottle that is surprisingly not a twist off, Oh well, go get the opener. Sweet aroma of sour apples greats your nose. Looks like a pale yellow American lager. Taste is fresh and slightly sour, sweet but not sickening syrupy sweet. Leaves a delicious aftertaste following each swig. Too nice too be a beer. Can’t detect alky, not like a wine cooler. No head, and few bubbles tho I do get a good tingle on the palate for each swig. Should not be rated against beer. Quite different than most beers, perhaps this can be compared to fruit beers. Finish is pretty straight forward, sweet and tart. A very mild alky bitterness is sensed on the back of the palate during the very end of the finish. 6/7/07

"Yeah, this was pretty bad. It reminded me of Leini's Apple Spice and I think thats why I dont like it. It was just way too sweet and too strong of apple flavor."

had at the Richmond Arms..almost no foam...no lacing...is smooth...a beach beverage but if staley says draft is better then 'oh my god'....is very very thin and lacks everything..."weak as water"...buy it for your kids..

"Decent cider here but much better on draft if you can find it. The aroma is very aromatic and sweet with tons of apple coming through. The appearance is an extremely, pale yellow to almost clear with a stringy head on top that is white in color and discipates. The mouthfeel is airy and very light-bodied with sweet complexity. The flavor is sweet and of sour apple and perfume and very tasty given the sweetness of it. Overall, probably one of the best ciders of its kind around and it is good but I only can stomach one or two."

Transparent yellow appearance and a transparent taste to boot. This tastes like someone dropped an apple slice into a glass of water and left it for an hour. Dull.
