Dark full-bodied beer Alcohol content: 6.5 % Package: 0.5 l glass bottle A.Le Coq Porter is a strong dark beer that can rightfully be considered to be the successor of the world-famous "Imperial Extra Double Stout." Its mature character and perfect taste are derived from sparkling spring water and extra dark caramel-malt. In spite of its strength this historical dark beer has a mellow taste and is pleasant to drink.

Very dark red color. Good flavor. Nice porter type beer. This is actually worth trying cold too. Not as other porters, which I prefer a bit warmer. (Not that other porters need to be +30 Celsius, but those are better in room temperature to get the taste out better).

Bottled. Very dark red colour, mediumsized brown head. Roasted malt and a bit of vanilla in aroma. Wellbalanced beer with soft roasted malt in the flavour. Also hints of alcohol and barley can be found. Dry finish, and not much aftertaste.

bottled - dark-brown colour with a decent head and a correct lacing; slightly nutty and caramelish aroma; quite light-bodied for a porter but still complex enough to make it a good beer

(500 ml bottle). Reddish brown colour, decent head. Aroma of caramel and leather. Not as sweet as I expected. Malty caramel flavour with just a slight roastiness, in a blind test I would surely classify this beer as a strong dunkel, not a Baltic porter. Relatively thin bodied, not nearly as good as their Jõuluporter (Christmas Porter). Disappointing for its style, if disregarding style you may find this as a decent and drinkable beer.
