The mixture of different malts gives it its color and unique flavor reminiscent of nuts or hazelnuts. No nuts or nut is added to the recipe (Oily, this disadvantage holding foam). Can from the brewery. Pours a clean copper-brown colour with amber highlights. The head is beige, average lasting with some nice creamy lacing. Aromas feel like on the chocolate side with cocoa notes. Then, the nuttiness takes over with some light hops in the background. These take presence in the taste though, over the nutty and roasted malts. Lightly-bodied, so decent for a session British ale. Maybe a little too hoppy for a real one, but good for an North American version.
