Pours a dark brown with a small tan head. Aromas of clove, banana, dark malt, yeast and bubble gum. The dark malt shows up first, followed by a strong clove presence. Banana flavor is subdued and the bubble gum makes a strong finish, with the clove hanging around until the end. An interesting take on a dunkelweizen, as the hops take the flavor a bit off the usual path. This beer came recommended by the guy at the superstore. Not a style I usually drink, but worth trying.
