http://www.4handsbrewery.com/our-beers.html This is one monster of a Brown Ale! We use an obnoxious amount of chocolate malt and roasted barley to give this beer a cask iron backbone. Our oatmeal brown pours a dark mahogany with aromas of dark chocolate and coffee.

Bomber. Deep brown, nearly black body with traces of garnet at the edges when held to light. A very dense and long lasting light tanned leather hued head is a nice contrast. The nose is rich milk chocolate with notes of cereal grains. Touches of leather and cherries are also present. This tastes of milk chocolate and apple core up front. The back end is ashy with tobacco and some old library book flavors. This one smells better than it tastes. The carbonation is a little sharp on the tongue. This was an ok brown with some porter like qualities.

Part of a "Pick Your Own 6 Pack" at the local liquor store. Pour reddish brown, but looks mahogany when held up to the light. Small tan head which quickly disappears. Chocolate, roasted malt, caramel and coffee notes on the nose. Tastes as it smells, but the flavors don't seem to develop like the aromas do. Goes down like water, but inevitably comes off like a watered down porter. Not bad, but not great either.

Solid brown from the PfoxyJohn. Brown pour (imagine that!), tan head, nice lacing. Lightly sweet malty and oatmeal aroma and flavor, some cocoa, nice caramel and very light toasted malts, light earthy easy hops. Super easy to drink. Tasty. Thank you John.
