Clear cherry red with reddish (small) foam head/ring. Aroma is sour cherry, taste is sour sherry, but not too sour - still refreshing and drinkable. (Antwerpen 201404)

Labeled as Oude Kriek w/ a 6% abv. Very calm for the style, lightly sweetened with a mild tart kick. Faded red body with a fizzy pink head and sporadic spots of lacing. Sour cherries and grassy hay with a zesty tangy feel. Straightforward and a touch subdued.

pretty sour and funky, but not at the expense of the cherryness til the last ounce in the bottle. brick red, nice head. vibrant horsey aroma with sweetish fruit and tart. the end was a little cheesier, but overall a very nice kriek. again, though, a one timer due to the price

375 ml bottle, home. The bottle is about 11 months old. This a fantastic beer. It pours a raspberry-mahogany color with a small pink head that dissipates slowly. The aroma is naturally fruity and sweet. There’s a big cherry note that borders on raspberry/strawberry jam sweet. The aroma also has a balanced, refined horseblanket funk that’s just wonderful. The flavor is fairly dry and medium tart. I haven’t had all that many lambics, but this seems quite balanced. There’s also a medium acidic vinegar flavor throughout the aroma and flavor. Very nice fruit sour.

luv tha kriek, love da Drie!! aroma is the bomb! sour cherries and a bloody nose of funky fruit!! .. . light headring, glimmering bright red, a peach to look at .. .’my kinda cold medium’? .. . wonderful free flowing cherry notes throughout, light yet puts its foot down 2 the ground .. . acetone, cherry juice, wild cherry flavours ... i feel like the guy who arrested jason bourne, then got my ass kicked for being a stooge..

(had it at 5% as Oude Kriek). Dark ruby red colour, not much head. Aroma is extreme sourness along with some cherryish notes. Flavour is the same. A very nice thing, but still lacks some of the stuff that's in the Van Schaerbeekse...

Drank this on at teh source several years back. A bit sweet and froofie loking, but very nice. Around the corner in Beersel there is another outfit with superior kreik, cannot remeber the name.

Just another great beer that aspidies keeps bringing out. This beer has an aroma that was just incredible. Huge amounts of brett, lemon, cherries and barnyard stinky funk that is what makes me a fan of these beers. Flavors were much the same as the nose. Not much else to say. The beer does all the talking here. Fantastic.

This Kriek pours a slightly hazy cheery red color from a 375ml bottle. Small sized pinkish foamy head. Aroma is funky, fruity, tart cherries, leather and must. A medium bodied Kriek/lambic. Funky and tart, fruity and sour, acidic and funky. WOW. Lively carbonation. Bone dry with a good amount of sweetness. How the heck do you do that? Very smooth but with just the right amount of acidy to balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is bone dry and crisp. Aftertaste is tart and sweet. (Bottle date is 15/05/04)

Pours with a deep red body topped by a thiin to medium thick head wtih some lacing. It’s sour and tart with a slihgt note of cheries and a hint of horseblanket that becomes more evident towards the end of the bottle. Light to medium bodied, dry and smooth.
