Lightly toasted and used in 3 Daughters Oatmeal Stout, flaked oats give a comforting silkiness that accentuates the hint of chocolate aroma and dark coffee flavor that are provided by the roasted barley and chocolate malts. With a dense and creamy tan head, smooth body and a slightly dry finish, this is the beer that is letting the world know that oatmeal is not just for breakfast anymore.

Pours a dark brown color with a thin ran head. The aroma is of coffee and roasted malt. The mouthfeel is only average. And the taste is okay but nothing very special.

Grabbed a growler fill at ABC Liquor in the Tampa area. Decent balance and texture, but the flavor was on the mild side. More of a year-round stout that will be distributed to local taprooms, restaurants, etc. Good...but sort of forgetable.
