You might not expect a Saison in winter. But the enemy didn’t expect Washington to cross the icy Delaware, either. Expectations be damned, we say. We’re sneaking up on winter with a boatload of bravado and this Belgian-style farmhouse ale. Dry hopped with whole organic cardamom pods, our Saison has an assertive spiciness. In your face, winter. Sneak Attack is our late winter seasonal beer available from January through March in six pack cans and on draft. The perfect antidote to the big beers of winter, Sneak Attack is crisp, dry and palate cleansing. It pairs perfectly with the rich and warming foods of winter: Bouillabaise, sausages, smoked meats and full flavored cheeses.

Pours a nice and slightly hazy solar yellow with a very thick and frothy, if not persistent, eggshell head. Aroma has strong notes of coriander and yeast, with subtle floral and fruity underpinnings. Flavor is not quite as bold as the aroma, but is still refreshing, fruity and floral with a yeasty undertone. Texture is smooth and somewhat firm, and fizz is not strong but does linger. Enjoy the sneak attack.

A golden color with a white head. The aroma is floral and spicy with some lemon going on. The flavor is very spicy with a huge lemon presence. Some orange notes in there as well. Aftertaste is somewhat sour. Overall a very well made saison.

Deep hazy yellow with a thin film of white foam. After a banana-scented pour, the true aroma seems like lime, cinnamon, and ginger with candy sugar, pineapple, and pepper... and then it hits me: cardamom. I put cardamom in my coffee, but this was an out-of-context encounter for me. The flavor has a spice and yeast bitterness to it, with a bit of bite up front. It's earthy and gingery, but mostly cardamom. A little one-note, honestly, but might work better if paired with the right food. Wet and refreshing with a faint fizz.

Very floral and herbal, almost overpowering except for its lightness of body, and crisp, clean assertiveness. Good brew. Cory, thanks for adding this :)

Herbs, lemongrass, peppery yeast and citrus come out in great abundance. A grassy malt profile followed by some sturdy hops. Light and zesty with a lingering bitterness. Vibrant yellow pour, shrinking white head and splotchy lacing. Lovely straightforward Saison, nice change of pace during a cold winter.
