Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head that quickly dissipates. No lacing. Vanilla, chocolate and roasted malt dominate the nose. Tastes as it smells, with the vanilla leading the flavors and the chocolate and roasted malt showing up a bit later. The beer has sort of a Vanilla Wafer flavor. Very tasty, but the carbonation is lacking in a big way. Mouthfeel is full and rich. A very tasty Vanilla Porter, but a bit of a disappointment in comparison to the regular Hunter Porter especially due to the price. With more carbonation, this beer would rate 2 to 3 tenths higher.
