With its decadent chocolate, smoke, caramel and biscuit aromas, this dark brown ale has a nice clarity with a strong lacy white head. Expect some light cigar, leather, dark chocolate with a hint of caramel flavours with a creamy mouthful and a light bitterness finish. Cheers to SMOKIN' good beer! Delicious with nutty or hard cheeses, grilled red meats and earthy root vegetables.

Pours a clean, a tad hazed (after last pour) dark amber colour with a big frothy warm beige cap, good retention and some fluffy lacing. A beautiful smoky aroma with some caramel notes, maple syrup, coffee, nuts, hops and light yeast. The taste shows more of the caramel malts with the smokiness second and some nice hops in the finish. I have to say this is quite good. An interesting twist on the brown ale.
