Refreshing and light, this Berliner Weisse incorporates the flavours of the traditional Mexican drink Tepache. Pineapple puree paired with cinnamon and demarara sugar to create a fruity, spicy, lightly tart brew.

Can from LCBO. Pours a massive foaming white head that sticks around for quite a long time, has a slightly hazy yellowish golden appearance. Big soapy lace. Excessive carbonation. Aromas of tropical fruits, pineapple, lemon, mild spice notes. Flavours are very fruity, mostly citrus, pineapple, lemon tart, herbal notes, some hints of nutmeg. Quite sour on the palate. Drying mouthfeel, a bit fizzy.

Slightly hazy, light yellow colour with a big frothy-fizzy white head, good retention but not much foamy lacing. The nose is kind of acidic with some spiciness. Mild sourness blended with the fruitiness. The taste is way more sour with a middle where the cinnamon (and other spices) shows off and the fruit dies quickly into the lingering yeast. Some tarty mouthfeel follows. This is quite an interesting Berliner Weiss with all of those spices over the pineapple purée.
