A uniquely complex and flavorful amber ale. French oak and rye malt lend to a well-rounded body with delicate undertones of toasted bread, spice, and subtle vanilla. Comes outa the tap a barely translucent mahogany with a fairly thick buff head. Malty aroma has a definite overtone of rye. Bold rye dominates the flavor but let’s through malty and woody hop notes. Texture is smooth, if not overly fizzy or firm. Comfort your creature with a crater of this. O Ragamuffin, my beloved alley cat, how I miss you! :(
