Created by Great Lakes Brewery in collaboration with George Milbrandt of craft beer pub C’est What. It’s a very complex and rich porter with a nice balance between the bittersweet and roasted malt flavours. Our inspiration was the beers that helped keep the Upper Canada Loyalists ‘hydrated’ during the war of 1812. We also had a little fun with the name. Most people would call this style an Imperial Porter but we decided to give it a definite Canadian spin and call it a Metric Porter.
