February 2021: 330 ml bottle, batch #146, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 9%. Nearly black colour, huge beige to tan head. Aroma of moderately roasted malts, chocolate, oatmeal / porridge, mild coffee and prunes. The flavour has a fairly distinct fruity acidity, notes of plums and prunes, possibly from the kveik, not sure if this is intended. Otherwise the same elements as the aroma, low bitterness.

440 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 5.8%. Black colour, moderate tan head. Moderate aroma of roast malts, hints of mild coffee. Smooth mouthfeel. Pleasant flavour of roast malts, black rye bread, mild coffee and a little sweetness from the crystal malts.

440 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 5.5%. Opaque / murky yellow colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of passionfruit and mango, lime / citrus zest and pineapple. Flavour also of said fruits, and it is not too sweet, nor too sour - a pleasant fruit drink indeed, but there is very little here (besides the alcohol) to remind you that this is a beer.

500 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Very dark brown colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of malts and caramel, a hint of mild Christmas spices. The flavour is not too sweet - malts, caramel and mild spices again, a hint of smoke, moderate hops. Decent mouthfeel for a 4.5% beer. A good choice if you want a shot of aquavit at the side.

Shared 375 ml waxed bottle at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 13.9%. Pitch black colour, small head. Chocolate dipped raisins in aroma and flavour, also notes of fusel in the aroma, but not in the flavour. An exclusive and delightful "box of chocolates", to be enjoyed in small portions.

Shared 330 ml can at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal. ABV is 4.7%. Brown colour, moderate white head. Moderate and mellow malty aroma and flavour, hints of fruity kveik. Pleasant to drink, but not particularly exciting.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Golden colour, large and creamy head. Fruity aroma and flavour, tolerable hop bitterness. A nice summer beer, does not carry a punch on a cold December evening.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.0%, IBU 46. Slightly hazy orange to brown colour, large to moderate white head. Aroma of bitter vintage orange marmalade, grapefruit, pine and spruce. The flavour is not too sweet, but has the same elements as the aroma. Resinous aftertaste.

Strong aroma of sweetish malts, also grassy and herbal Continental hops. Medium sweet flavour (= a tad too sweet), some caramel and herbal hops, decent bittering hops in the finish.

November 2022: 500 ml can, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 3.5%. Hazy yellow colour, huge white head. Pleasant and strong aroma of tropical fruits, melon and citrus, hints of sprucetips. Light bodied as expected, citric mouthfeel. The flavour is also citric with hints of tropical fruits, also quite bitter, nearly medicinal in the aftertaste.

Clear signal red colour, pours moderately sparkling with a small and shortlived pink head. Aroma of apples and strawberries, a hint of rhubarb. Medium sweet flavour of apples, strawberries and rhubarb.

Medium sweet flavour, both malts and hops in abundancy, citric and piney notes, reasonably bitter.
