657 | 7 Fjell Juan Moore Cerveza Mexicana | Norway | Pale Lager | 2.8
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Small sample from 330 ml clear bottle, at Vectura-messe. ABV is 4.7%. Pale golden colour. Fairly fresh aroma and flavour, "clean" and slightly citric without any unpleasant off-flavours. Not a super-interesting beer, of course, but should be decent enough to drink on a warm summer's day. Better than Corona and Sol, and that is obviously the intention behind this beer. I might even buy a bottle to re-rate, if it turns up in a grocery store in my neck of the woods. |

658 | 7 Fjell Snasen Saison | Norway | Saison | 3.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Rerate, 330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. Gusher bottle. Same impression as first sample. Too yeasty. Original rating: Small sample from 330 ml bottle at Vectura-messe, sampled too warm. Blonde colour. Yeasty, spicy and fruity aroma. The flavour appears a bit too yeasty for me, but that may be due to the temperature. Light bodied for its strength. Will sample again, and re-rate then. |

666 | Det Lille Bryggeri Hop Hotel India Pale Ale | Denmark | IPA | 3.8
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 February 2014: 500 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgaard. BB date 7. June 2013. Hazy orange to deep brown colour (depending on the source of light), moderate off-white head. Aroma of American hops, only 2 of the 4 varieties used are American, though (Columbus and Nugget), hints of orange marmalade, moderate notes of pine. The flavour has a base of medium sweet crystal malts, but has first and foremost a pleasant hoppiness throughout, with citrus notes. Perfectly drinkable despite its age. This is a beer I’d buy again (and then probably not wait so long before drinking it). |
