Bottle. Supposedly the best beer from Argentina. Colour – slightly hazed orange-gold, creamy head, light tan in colour. Aroma – weak citrus, cereal malt, pine. Mouthfeel – medium bodied. Well carbonated. Flavour – hop forward, citrusy but not a lot of in your face grapefruit. Not a lot of sweetness to counter the bitterness.

Bottle. Colour - Murly brown, huge foamy head. Aroma - Dark fruits, candy sugar. Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, slightly creamy. Overall - A very flavourful beer. Well balanced with a malty sweetness and well hidden alcohol.

Another outstanding trappist ale. Colour - medium red brown, clear edges, medium sized tab cap. Aroma - dark malt, sugar, bread, plums. Mouthfeel - Medium bodied. Flavour - sweet dark fruit, yeast, sugar, malt. Not as complex as the 10, but the same flavours. Overall - Excellent!

Bottle. Colour – hazy gold, huge white head, good lacing, good effervescence. Aroma – yeast, light citrus, grains, brown sugar. Mouthfeel – medium bodied, highly carbonated, almost champagne-like. Flavour – grains, citrus, yeast, not as good as the other Chimays I’ve tried.

The three beers were quite similar (as their website states it's the exact same beer fermented different lengths that shouldn't be a surprise) and all hid their alcohol very well.

Wow - what a beer. Colour - clear burgundy, thin head. Aroma - grainy, sour apples, tart cherries, and sweet malt. Mouthfeel - full bodied. Flavour - both sweet and sour tones. Overall - excellent!

A beautiful beer, near perfection. Colour - dark red brown, murky, red edges, generous foamy brown cap. Aroma - dark malt, candy sugar, yeast, plums, and raisins. Mouthfeel - Full bodied. Flavour - A sweet elixer of yeast, spices, fruit, and malt. Overall - outstanding! If it wasn't $10-$12/bottle - this would be my new favourite!

Nice big bottle of a yeasty belgian beer. Colour - cloudy gold colour with light brown edges, and a light tan rocky cap. Aroma - light fruits, yeast, citrus, and grains. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - tasted like a tripel style with a combination of fruity sweetness, and yeasty bitterness. Overall - another excellent beer in a weekend of excellent beers.

Bottle. New beer at the Liquor Store. Colour - Murky dark brown with red edges, huge light brown rocky cap. Aroma - roasted malt, burnt sugar, dark fruits, yeast, and light chocolate notes. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, well carbonated. Flavour - burnt carmel, yeast, roasted malt, and tangy malted notes on the sides of the tongue. Quite good and quite drinkable.

Can. Colour - crystal clear pale yellow with a huge frothy white head which disappears into nothing within seconds. Lots of effervescence. Aroma - wet grass, cardboard, phenolic notes. Mouthfeel - thin and watery, goes along with the appearance. Flavour - very grainy, acidic and metallic notes. Not a very good beer at all.

Bottle. Colour - rich mahogany colour, pretty opaque when held to light, thin rocky cream coloured cap, minimal lacing. Aroma - christmas spices, nutty malt, yeast, dark fruits, and fresh baked bread. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, well carbonated. Flavour - Sweet and malty to start with but the spices and the bitter hops do come through in the finish,
