An enjoyable brew, and better than anything else the resort in Mexico carried that my family stayed at. Pretty malty but fairly crisp, reminded me of an Oktoberfest almost as much as a Vienna, worth trying.

This was pretty awesome. I finally got around to buying a bottle and was not disappointed, it was nice to have an ale from 'across the pond.' Pretty malty yet balanced, a nice head and brown color, very drinkable until it got really warm.

Now, I'm not a cider man, never have been, probably never will be, just like this won't ever even quite be beer, in my opinion. Tastes like apple cider and smelled worse.

This was not too much different than most decent american lagers I've had. Samuel Smith's has made one that is blander and with less of a head and aroma than some, but its still better than Bud or any of that.

2006 Rating: Reduced hop presence from a year ago...or was I just an idiot back then? Probably a little bit of both. Anyway, very nice spiciness and malt flavors, if anything it is a bit simple this young, I'll have to lay some back and see what happens. RERATE: Much improved since last year. This beer has been reborn into a glorious, flavorful and powerful ale. It coated the glass in rich lace and maintained a creamier, light head for the duration. Loaded with yeast spiciness and much more hop flavor than any belgian I can recall, and it works astonishingly well. Schlafly, you've done it again, congratulations. PREVIOUS RATE:Some yeast and citrus come through and not too spicy. This poured a pleasant orange which I can't say I've seen before, but with almost no head. On the whole it was good, but kind of weak, I'll have to try an authentic Saison.

Whoa this was fruity. I had this months ago, but remember it very vividly because it didn't taste like beer, this tasted like something that would go on shortcake or icecream. No noticible wheat, yeast or hops, only raspberry. Very watery and lacking carbonation.

Another good seasonal from Boulevard. Not as good as some of their other brews like Bob's 47 or their Wheat, but still a good offering. Poured nicely with an earthy, red hue and slight hop aroma, while giving a very malty taste. Light carmel and chocolate notes, a very pleasant brew. RERATE 2/15/06 I've had an excellent experience with this beer so far this year. Loads of light, fluffy head, bright carbonation, deep copper body and superb balance.

This was malty, malty, malty. The pour was gorgeous, with a perfect head and deep brown/red earthy color. Smelled almost exclusively of barley, hops became more apparent the more I drank, not balanced, but that's not the point, quite good.

Blah, again, not an ESB. Just plain doesn't fit the category, not bitter, too dry, too malty for an ESB, a decent ale, but where are the hops? Couldn't smell much at all, but what was nice and malty, but weak.

I nearly forgot I had drank this beer (at 9.1abv I can't imagine how that happened *hic*). It was nice to have this at the brewery and had more of a kick to it, obviously, than the standard IPA from 75th strete. E's review is pretty right on, but I recall some pine and slight citrus coming over into the taste, as well. I'd love to try it again.
