Grainy and buttery aroma. Nice golden color, stable head and lacing. Refreshing, somewhat slick mouthfeel, likely from the diacetyl. Diacteyl everywhere, not a bomb, but plenty to distract from the underlying beer, which isn't bad, grainy and touched with hops. It would have been pretty good until it all went wrong.

Smells of grainy wheat and fake fruit. Light straw color, collapsing head. Watery in the mouth, some carbonation. I hate the fake fruit flavor, extracts just rub me the wrong way 95% of the time, and this was one of 'em, medicinal and flat. I'll pass on this one.

The underlying porter is nice, I can tell that much. Chocolately, minerally and malty aroma, some earth hops and honey come through. Dark brown with a bit of foam. Nice full and coating mouthfeel, soft carbonation, smooth finish. The honey is overpowering, which is significant with a porter, and way too sweet, if it had been added for fermentation, this beer would be better. A nice beer ruined by excessive sweetness.

A very interesting winter seasonal, from Alandale. Slightly dark traditional Bock base beer with Vanguard and Cascade hop character apparent and well balanced with the malty base. The Vanguard dovetails between the German beer base and the resinous Cascades, which give it a Christmas-y feel. Well done.

Alandale seems to be hitting the German Styles pretty well, not unlike Morgan Street. Nice malt oriented balance, some spicy hops, clean fermentation character, just what this toasty malty beer should be, refreshing and elegant.

Decidedly better than your run of the mill Pale Lager. Softly malty aroma, no off aromas like DMS or diacetyl. Light straw pour, thin clings of lace. Soft carbonation in the mouth. Mildly grainy, tinge of hops, nice and refreshing, a good effort for an underwhelming style.

Another entirely decent offering from Alandale, their step mashing regiment works well for this dry, balanced, Pilsner. Hoppy and grainy, golden, small head and lacing, a good quencher.

Review #800, a nice offering from Three Floyds. Richly malty aroma, not too sweet. Brown and a bit hazy, head collapses in seconds. Medium mouthfeel, low carbonation, kinda nice. Very malty, malliard product rich. A nice 100-ish shilling brew.

Probably more of a sweet oatmeal porter, but still a pretty good brew. Chocolately roasty notes, slightly caramelly, slightly sugary sweetness, some earthy hops, nice.

A pretty good Doppelbock, nice and malty, some head retention, very clean and clear brown body, balanced maltiness, well done, I'll be having this again.
