Centennial IPA, that is. ;) Ya know, this IPA "fad" has been around for a long time. If only Lager could be so much in vogue again! Yeah, there's the macroswills...but I mean how about the Craft category?

I think part of the "IPA fad" was the ridiculously hoppy West Coast types that seemed to care more about shock value than flavor. I was into them for a very short while before realizing I wasn't enjoying them! And when they did try to balance the hop, it was as if they threw in a sugar cube and half a stick of butter to make it easier to swallow :P

Outside of the well-rated Belgian brewers, I don't have any favourites. Too much inconsistency. . As for IPA, I would love an old fashioned piney west coast style IPA that existed pre-2012 when all of a sudden everybody decided that IPAs should taste like passion fruit, guava, and mango.

Flora Hall is right beside my work, so easy to get beers from them. With time, I have noticed they seem to be the best for consistency. I like beers of Brasserie du Bas-Canada, but they are always out of cans. And their amazing sweet stouts are 10% or more, so hard to sample over there and drive back home. Beyond the Pale is also close by, so another easy one to get beer from outside with this shitty virus thing.

I used to really enjoy Dogfish head, and still like to try their new stuff out every now and then.

There are very few quality breweries from which I have had ALL (or even most of) their beers - and if I am still tempted to say that I favour this or that brewery, you can bet that they come up with a beer I dislike as their next one. But Orval and Westvleteren are safe ....

All brewers matter!
